A doctor is always available when the surgery is closed. If you need urgent advice outside normal surgery hours, please ring the GP Out of Hours Service based at Arrowe Park Hospital on "111" They will be able to deal with any urgent problems or arrange for you to be seen when the surgery is closed including weekends. This service is for emergencies only. 

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.  

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

• Treat yourself at home
• Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.

Also available at Arrowe Park Hospital is the Walk-in-centre. This is a nurse run clinic able to treat minor ailments. They are open seven days a week including bank holidays from 8.00am - 10.00pm.

A similar Walk-In-Centre is available at Victoria Central Hospital, Wallasey, with the same opening hours.

A third Walk-In-Centre is available at Eastham, Monday - Friday, 2.00pm - 10.00pm and 9.00am - 5.00pm Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.

No appointments are needed for Walk-In-Centres.
